Default the harder way for chevelle ss 427 1968

Hi I have a 1968 chevelle ss 427 and find her too soft on her suspension
I have competition engineering 3 way adjustable shocks + stock springs
I want harder suspension because in the corner the car is like a boat
which brand or type of suspension will give me the harder solution for th efront of the car ??

I see the QA1 front coilovers conversion kit but it's an expensive parts
this parts sound good but anybody have this on his chevelle ??

"Harder" doesn't always mean better...

You probably need to improve the geometry (Maybe call SC&C, and ask about Stage2+ and other options)...

Better spring rates for that Big Block...

Perhaps a larger front sway bar, which won't really make things "harder", but will help limit body roll in the corners...

Maybe consider a new steering box, something with more input force required
before the assist kicks in (this can greatly help the floating feeling)...

the sway bar is on the way...because I have no sway bar in the front and rear...I take a UMI performance kit
the real problem is the "bumpy" sensation, the car do high/low/high 3 meter after the road deformation

Hi yellowvette

Did you order some sway bars? Although CE shocks are a good choice for drag racing, the soft rebound damping causes the car to feel floaty even when the shocks are new.

For general purpose driving Bilsteins are a great choice. Combining them with our upper a-arms are a great combination, even with stock springs. Of course our sway bars help too.
