Will I be ok to run stock disk brakes up front and then run a disk brake set up in the rear from whom ever has the best deal for my early big 9 inch ford that is in the rear ( Wilwood,Baer or possibly Cpp) with using manual brakes and a proportioning valve???

I really dont want a big booster sticking out of the fire wall for power brakes and yes this is a street car for cruise ins not a drag car however Im also being told that based on what size cam I go with vacuum could be a issue due to cam size with power brakes any ways...

let me know what you guys are all out there using and what your thoughts are? Who has the best deal on purchasing brakes and coil overs I need both Thank you

I pulled my Camaro down from over 130MPH with stock discs and the big Ford drums. Get the proportioning right and you should be OK. Getting 4 wheel discs "balanced" is an art but they work great when set up well.

Are you running power steering? If so and you want power brakes, go hydro boost brake assist.

Agree 100% especially if you are concerned about making vacuum. My hydro boost works amazingly great with front disc rear drum. I use Hawk pads. Stops quick everytime. Make sure your power steering pump has a standard size reservoir not a small one.

If you want to save some money, take a look at Speedway Motors for your rear disc brake kit. They have about the best deal out there.
