Default Halo Headlights...

Has anyone done a halo headlight conversion on a Chevelle? Any pictures? Just wondering how it would look!
Thanks

And where exactly is the "Performance" portion of your question.

If your gonna put "halo" headlights on a muscle car you might as well put a huge park bench wing on it too, make sure people know your going for the ricer look.....

I don't think they look bad but I wouldn't put them on my vehicle as my sealed beams are bright enough and look good. But to the above post I have seen people with 600+hp cars they use for racing have the halo lights in them so it doesn't matter its his car not yours.

The halo part is okay, the HID bulb without a projector is not. If you like it though then do it.

Pehaps you should read the OP's post, again.

"just wondering how it would look" he said, i offered my opinion, thats what people offer on a public message board.

I have to ask you what "600hp+ cars" having "halo" lights has to do with anything? Those cars would still have the same power without the ricer look.

You can badmouth Halo lights, but better not say anything about the windshield and crash bars on my Harley.

would have prefered the white halo's but these are nice and bright. Where I live and cruise there are no street lights on the edge of farm country. So these light throw some light out.

I actually think they look good. Like many things it's a matter of opinion. It's your car if you like them, go for it.

I have to disagree that it's a "ricer" look and it does no damage to the vehicle, if he later wants to change them all it takes is a few minutes.

I think it depends on the car and what other modifications have been done.
Putting them on a stock appearing chevelle...no way
Putting them on a lowered pro touring style...yes

I dont mind the look either. It depends on the car your putting them on. All stock isnt going to look right. A pro touring type wouldnt be bad. With that said though, there are some modifications required. I just dont thing the modifications required are worth it. Even if the modifications arent much of a big deal.

I have a set just like the ones below. I actually bought them from the same place

They best thing about them is they come with 100/130 watt bulbs for some serious light!!!

www.prostreetlighting.com

I have the conversion kit in my 72 Wagon and I thought they looked ok. I can run either the Halo's or the Sealed Beams...But then again, I also have a 10 switch Air Ride, so I do get many Chevelle purists looking down their noses at me... People at the car shows I go to love it!!
