Default Belltech lowering springs

Does anyone have any experience with their springs? I've searched the forums and have only found info about their drop spindles.

I've got a 68 SB Chevelle that has standard spindles and I'm looking at 2 inch springs for it all around. Summit sells a belltech set and I was wondering if they would be a good way to get the car down a couple of inches.

Thanks!

I don't know if you're stuck on Beltech, but we have lots of suspension companies that are vendors here offering drop springs. Check out PST, UMI, SPC ect...

Sorry to not answer your question specifically, but my knowledge of belltech has soley been related to truck parts. I had a set of their drop spindles and de-arched leafs on my '80 C10 about 17years ago.

Eibach's are decent and priced much lower as well.

Beltech's are the same as ST (Suspension Techniques), sell them where I work. I have them on my '67, 1" front & rear. Really lowered the rear a lot it seems, front sits higher in front... but I'm sure that will change once I dump the BB IN

neither is summit, but I'll bet you still by from there..
going with vendors that support the site is great..
sometimes, where they are located, hurts..
most of my 71 c-10 stuff , I'm on the wrong coast..
shipping is a killer..

Oh, i'm not hung up at all on Belltech. I just saw the springs and thought, "2 inches? Huh. Wonder if they are any good?"

Turns out, they are only going to lower the car 1" and that just isn't what i'm looking for. I'm trying to get a 2" spring or maybe even a bit more. I know OPG sells 2 and 3 inch lowering springs but they are pretty expensive. Are there any other options in that drop range?

Eibach's are good but it's only about an inch drop as well. It seems most springs that are specifically for these cars only give between 1 and 1.3" of drop.

A little detail about the car: it is a cruiser that will not be raced or anything. Just a street car that I want to have sit down a bit lower. I love the look of these big cars when they are dropped and since there is a lot of room I want the drop to be pretty substantial.

I just looked at the BMR and UMI sites and didn't find what you were looking for.

Sorry about that.
