Default 1970 Heater Control Valve vacuum hose routing

Does anyone have a photo of how the vacuum line runs to the heater control valve on a 70' Chevelle? I'm in the process of installing mine. I have the original vacuum line on the car and I'm not 100% sure how it gets around the evaporator core to the valve. The vacuum pod inlet points to the front of the car... right?

Thanks,
Rob.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a rubber boot that goes thru the firewall up near the cowl, with a hose in the middle of it,that runs to the heater control manifold.

It comes out of the firewall via the grommet that has the main vacuum line coming inside the car from the vacuum resovoir tank mounted on the a/c "suitcase".

It is then strapped to the electrical harness that feeds the blower motor/fan resistors etc.

I have the general aftermarket hotwater shut-off valve on mine, but other than this, I reconnected everything factory (except I didn't use the lousy tower clamps on my hose connections!).

See the pic of mine.

On my 70 the Vac. hose heads down near the bottom of the suitcase, Near the bottom of the suitcase mine has a 1/4" wide loop that is attached to the suitcase, This Fac. loop pushes into a pre-made hole in the suitcase. This keeps the Vac. hose away from the exhaust.
The water valve is attached to the inner fender with 3/16" pop rivits.
