Have not been to the track as this is strictly a street car. Combo is 496,AFR 325 CNC chamber heads,Lunati{UD Harold} solid roller 256-265@.050 .660 lift.Isky Red Zone lifters,Crower stainless rockers,Team G intake, reverse pattern Turbo 400 with 3,200 stall and 12 bolt with 3.73 gears. Plenty of power for going to the store.
That is a nice ride but that ain't no street car! Just because you can drive it on the street doesn't make it a street car. Full cage, tubbed, 32x14's (I'm guessing) race seats, no way. If you can drive it a 100 miles without issue it ain't a "street car" IMHO
Me, my wife and my 6 year old boy took it on a 120 mile round trip last Saturday and the only issue was it burned 19.5 gallons of gas{if you would call that an issue}. 3,000 rpm is 70 mph. Yes way.

Call it what you want. I love the car. Awesome looking ride. However, "In my opinion" I get tired of cars like yours being referred to as street cars. Looks nothing like it would if you bought at the dealership, not even close. It is a tubbed out race car, but a nice one at that.
Alan's 71 Corvette is a street car. My car with full interior, no cage, not tubbed, not back halved on pump gas is a street car. But you call it what you want.
Nice dude! I guess you only need the backseat for one that is the way to do it. Nice set up! I have 6 kids so I have no choice but to have the whole back seat.
Randy - super cool ride! The kid seat is awesome. That thing looks like it wants to go to the track, so I'd be nice to it and take it where it wants to go, at least once.

Maybe he should have called it a racey street car?
Thanks. It does have a Mustang II rack. Have done a couple of A-bodies like this with homemade mounts and they work well on the street. Would get into bump steer with 90/10 shocks and a lot of front end rise or with out limiters but no problem with KYB Gas-A-Just on the street.
Sinister, what are you driving while your "daily driver" is with Mark? Must be fast....
I don't know about fast. It is the old ladies mini van. Got to compromise when you have a ton of kids. I realize your busting my balls. I guess if your car has to be fixed because of "daily driving" it doesn't classify as a street car...but if looks like a race car, sounds like a race car, and runs like a race car...it is actually a street car?
Dude your car is sweet, the engine bay especially!! And i feel ya on the MPG, i get about 7 drving around town and it doesnt make sense to take it on a long trip when i have a harley that gets 40+, no kids for me though
I dont understand how people think that a roll cage and big tires means its not a street car. A good friend of mines neighbor is always giving me crap about my car being a race car becuase it only has 2 seats and a 8 point. But his car has badass aftermarket heads, more compression, runs on racing gas and the only time its out of his garage is when its on the trailer going to the track...but its a street car? I guess thats his excuse why he also loses when we race
Sinister isnt your car gonna run on Alky when you get it back? But its a street car huh :noway:. Dont take it personaly, just making my point.
Yep. Will drive it everyday on E85! Change the jets at the track. No different than "Pump Gas" guys running 93 octane on the road and race gas at the track.
I'm done with this thread. The guy has a nice car. In my opinion its a race car and mine is a street car. Let me back half mine and run 32x14's a full cage and I would be in the 5's. :beers:
