Default Cowl Induction - inner flapper wiring??

I have a 71 Chevelle and it has the Cowl Induction Hood and I need to know where to connect to get a keyed hot so that the inner flapper opens when the key is turned on. I am looking for pictures if I can get them. I know that I can get a keyed hot anywhere but I am looking for the way the factory hook it up. Thanks JP

JP

The power comes from the fuse block. If you don't have a harness consider getting one, either M&H or American Auto Wire will have it.

Attached is a pic of the M&H harness. The harness includes a grommet for passing through the firewall.

See the attached illustration for the wire connections, ignore the black and orange T400 wires.

I just put a new wire kit in mine, very simple. Just like the diagram above the leads plug directly into the middle of the fuse block. It's obvious were the wires plug in, each connector is a little different.
I have a problem with the accelerator rod not coming forward enough to engage the switch, I'll have to do a little modifying.
