That definitely ranks as one of the worst modifications I've ever seen. You can see the axle flexing as it goes down the road. Hit a soft turd in the road with that thing and its over.

I'll bet he has already discovered that it was not a good idea...
...broken axle/parts ...clipping pedestrians ...other cars lack of awareness and running in to tires they didn't expect to be there. Did you see at the end there was a picture of it with the front wheels outside the fenders also? Darwin Award Candidate.

I'm not sure what it means either, but if that car in the video, and it's driver, is not the dumbest thing on the planet, then I dont know what it and I've seen my fair share of ghetto modifications.
He needs one of them WIDE LOAD banners on the front and back of that wreck! Wow!

I'm guessing that will be a very short lived fad

I thought the same about 22"+ wheels.

Maybe they widened the track for when cruising through miitant areas where landmines may or may not be planted for surprise attacks. Widened out the track width in the hopes of avoiding mines planted at what might be considered target trackwidth on the roads. Or maybe those axles jettison out when they spot non believers walking on the sidewalk with a bible...and can then chop em at the legs like a gladiator in a chariot with a quick sideswipe.
There are lots of other reasons why saudis might do this. Hell, maybe it increases the bomb carrying capacity of a trunk or the additional axle length was simply added to increase shrapnel output. Maybe they needed something out back that they can tie women to instead of a trailer hitch for punishment of walking around in public without their father or brothers. Maybe they're going to put real fat wheels with some serious backspace, maybe some paddle tires, and take that dude out in the desert. So many possibilities as to why the mod was done.....hard to tell what they were going for on the test cruise. Need to see it in action. BTW - SS over there means "Saudi Series" and not Super Sport.....respect the cultural differences, man.....there is diversity in that moniker as well.

Is that true? The Saudi versions were called a Caprice SS rather than Impala SS for some wierd cultural reason, they didn't think the Impala name would sell there, but I'd never heard anything about the "SS".

just another guy looking for attention,
his modifications were not thought out too well, he should of mounted 4x4 truck axles under there as that would have made more sense. maybe he's just low on gray matter from the neck UP ......

The emblem on the trunk did look like an Impala to me. This just reinforces what Einstein said. He believed that there were two things that were infinite: the universe and human stupidity. And he was not completely sure about the universe.

Looks like he did it with some bolt on stub axles. Good luck with that. Imagine the load on the bearings with the wheels that far away.
