Saw this posted over at the Detroit Horsepower site.I believe this car is in Trenton NJ 2 brothers own it.No real paperwork last time I knew.Any updates?

Its back again !

This "Yenko" L88 Chevelle has been for sale off and on for over 10 years.

I called on it a few times over the years.

Original color is black and it is not believed to be a real Yenko Chevelle

It may be a real 427 COPO Chevelle and looks like it was an old drag car

In the past the asking price has always been well over market.

Joe,The one who controls it's sale is a nut case,very very sad.Other brother who found it and has health problems is a lot easier to talk too. Info I got was the nice brother who found it in the Want Ad Press in 1979 or 1980.When he found it he needed the brothers money to buy it.Anyway I heard the original owner was a Attorney and the name on the car was Prosecuter.I think it ran at Lebanon Valley dragway...Dan

Joe I got a call from Bob about the car today some one contacted him and wanted to know if it was from Scuncio. Has anyone ever run an NICB or a DMV search on the car? It could be a COPO the trim tag looks right,I wonder what the rear end code is. Ed

I met the guy at the Englishtown swap meet one year but he wouldn't show me the car.
He is hard to deal with and his price was so high that I didn't really think he was serious about selling it.

I have not heard of any NICB report on it and never got a rear axle code from him and couldn't get a clear answer if he had a build sheet or not.

It may be a real 10 10 427 COPO Chevelle but it needs resto, has non-original engine, who knows what other problems. If it checks out, whats it worth in todays market?

He may have to take a zero off his start price to sell it.

Tony Scinto and Michael Scinto are the Good and Bad brothers .Both guys I talked to.My notes mention National Dragway but not Lebanon Valley NY. Car was from NY though.Original owners name was a Richard Thomas. Did a Zaba search and found a guy that was 46 years old in 1969.

I don't know if anyone ever got the full vin number from this guy,but I didn't. So is the vin number known? My notes show Bench seat 4spd L88 488 gears,Black interior,black exterior.

Dan my first wifes uncles name is Richard Thomas and he was from NY/NJ area I wonder if its the same guy. I'll call my oldest son and see if he can ask his mother about him.

Ed,Chances are with a common name of Thomas as the last name it probably would be a miracle if it was.He told me Reggie Jackson had one of the three cars built,but loss it in the warehouse fire he had way back when.Anyone know if RJ had a 69 L88 Yenko Chevelle? Dan

Reggie had/has a white Yenko Chevelle that was restored with the underhood cowl induction on it.

It is not a L88 as far as I know
