I don't have the springs, but I do have the roller lifters, roller rockers, and a stud girdle.

The part number is 50232, it is a Lunati. I am not sure if it is a billet or not.

Ok I went to lunati's site they dont list a spesific spring for that cam just say's solid roller. my guess your gonna need atleast 240 seat and a tall enough spring for a .660 lift as that is what it says it is. give me a min Iam asking someone what they recomend as far as springs.

what length valves do you have and what diameter spring are your heads machined for? I need this info for the correct answers.

Lunati's 501C2LUN is a solid roller that will work well in a street/strip car. I'm using it in a 406 SB with a vacuum canister with no problems. Can be heard here:
The 501C1 is the same cam ground on a 106 LDA. 501C2 is ground on 109 LDA. This cam will pull strong to about 7000. You can get these cams with the Ever-Wear Dist gear so a bronze gear is not needed. The 501C2 is one of UDHarold's favorite Pro Street cams.

(I attribute all my misses to year old gas. Need to drive more.)

Ken that sounds awesome! What is the idle rpm of that, and is the low-end decent?

1200 rpm with stock cross flow Douglass muffler about 30m years old, no balance pipe. (The old one wouldn't fit with the TH400.) It's never been to a track, so I can't tell you how good it runs. Convertor stalls at 4400, so low end is a guess. It's a stock CI crank that I have spun to 7500 by accident. I'm working on a new short block.

I retarded the Comp 255@.050" cam 7 degrees to try to get more top end with the Dart CI heads, and tried 1.6 rockers on the exhaust to crutch the poor flowing exhaust ports, but nothing satisfied me like the AFR heads. They are out of the box Race Ready's and the biggest difference between them and the Darts was the exhaust flow. That made a world of difference. I later added the 501C2, and it does pull a little harder on the top end. With a 1.8 rocker on the intakes, it would make a good BBC street/strip cam, with a 7000 RPM limit,IMHO. The CC street roller does not sound much different than the Lunati/UDHarold.

No matter what you end up building, go with a small chamber and a dished piston, if possible, and if it doesn't hurt airflow. That will give better control against detonation and require less timing than a piston with a big knot on the top. I think AFR heads are the best power for the money, and would never waste money on Cast Iron.

Be conservative with your headers, too small will accelerate better than too large. You have to remember, if they are too small, they will be correct at some RPM. If they are too large, they will not be right at any RPM.

Thanks Ken. I have small domes, AFR heads, 2" headers, but a "small" cam I guess. You have like 24* more duration (intake) and 48 less cubes. Looks like I need to step it up....alot.

66tripower, consider the XR286R from comp, pushed more than a few cars here to mid 10 sec. I'm leaning that way myself. Anything in the 230 rane at .050 is too mild...unless all your looking for is high 11's/low12's. Maybe mid 11's on a good dialed in chassis .

Let's face it...11's is the new 12's!

FWIW ...... those 702 heads have a high intake / exhaust ratio and the flow will limit your rpm HP peak so be carefull when you pick a cam ..... cam to the head and its ability to use the lift etc .... I'm partial to solid rollers but you need to have good valvetrain parts so can be expensive but if your not going to rev past 6500 then a good hydraulic roller might be the best with those heads .............. for a little more $$ get a cam spec'd to your combo , good advice to talk to people on here like Chris Staub / Wolfplace for a cam
