[66 Chevelle Bob]

I'm looking at a set of Federal Super Steel 657 205/60R/15 tires. Has anyone tried them out there? Would you buy something else? They look good on the outside appearance. Any comments would be appreciated please before I shell out over $400 bucks.

The made in Taiwan/China tells me the compound will be very hard and long wearing. Chinese made tires have a general reputation of poor quality and reliability.

For a cost of over $400 a set, I think you could buy almost any BRAND name tire in size 205/60-15.
Never heard of "Federal"...

Exactly the point I was trying to make.
I've got a set of Hankook's on my '70 Sedan...very limited choice of tires when it comes to buying a 14" whitewall thats readily available.
I hate these SOB's...ride/handle like recycled egg rolls...

Probably the best thing to do is go to www.tyretest.com. They have ratings from people that actually have the tires on their cars.
