Default Last wire , MSD start retard box

I've got one wire left the purple wire, start retard .Its easiest for me to splice in the safety neutral switch wires. Is this ok? I can just see with my trouble light the wire on the right small terminal on the solenoid getting spliced into the safety neutral switch wire and coming thru the firewall and into the shifter. This would make it very easy to route my purple start retard under the dash to the shifter but I dont know if the start retard box would work?

Yes. Just be sure to solder any connections.

How many degrees is the 8982 set at? Try disconnecting the start retard, will it start then?

Do you have the magnetic trigger cable of the Crane box connected to the dist? Do you have the magnetic pickup of the MSD retard box connected to anything?
Are you using a plug in retard module with the MSD retard box?

Ok, found I had the magnetic pickup wires reversed (purple with black stripe doesnt go to purple). Anyway I hear a clunk when I start it now? I know the box is working because I took the zero module out for the nitrous retard while running and checked the timing, it was 20 degrees back. Just hear a rough clunk when starting now never heard before the box.
