Question Cost to pour concrete floor for 30x40 building?

I know this will vary depending on area of the country but can you guys give a ballpark figure on cost of pouring the floor for a 30x40? It's charged by the cu. yard, correct?

Thanks for your input!

Here in middle TN they charge by the square foot on a 4-6 inch deep slab. Most people get 1.00 per sq ft.

At 6" thick you will need 18 CY= cubic yards. without any footer.
A FRICKING $1.00 a yard no way down here that would cost you atleast.
1200 sf= 18 cy @ $135.00 per yard = $2430 JUST IN Concrete only!
My cost as a builder now thats for 4000 psi pump mix.
And labor down here would be atleast $1.25 per SF= $1500.

Now with 2500 psi mix would be $ 1980.00
JUST IN Concrete only!

I sell 4000 mix with labor for $ 6.75 per SF
and for 2500 mix would be $ 5.50 per SF
Labor included.
And when the chute is clean I want your green in my hand, LOL

So, if I understand your post correctly,

1200 sq. ft. of the 4000psi would cost $8100 to pour?

buddy of mine just had the floor in his 30 by 50 foot building poured, including a pair of footers for under a car lift complete with mounting bolts anchored in the crete. $6 grand and they did a heck of a job. He also had a pad for an air compressor and a heat pump formed and poured. 3 yard of concrete. total bill including materials and labor $490.

for a building that size ill bet you also have to have a footer or do a monolithic poor.

my 32x42 was $5200 10 years ago.

$1.00 a ft. must have been just the labor for a so-so job. The best price in this area for 3500psi (more than adequete) 4" slab is $2.20 plus prep work. The price of concrete is around $1.10 a ft.

you havent said if its a pole building or stick built.

i think you guys with the cheap prices are just talking about a slab for a pole barn.

a real stick built garage will have to have a footer and that makes the price go up.

Glad, I'm not in Florida. here is NC, it would be closer to $4,500 for the whole turnkey job, labor, concrete, and fiber in the cement. I can now see why houses in Florida are so much.
