Default The 74 was stolen.

Somewhere between 11PM and 6:30AM, 7/6/2007.

My dad went out the door for work at 10 to 7AM, and it was gone.

My aunt, who lives around the corner from us, said she noticed it was gone when she went to work, but thought nothing of it since my dad's truck was in the driveway, and she thought maybe he took it to work. Filed a police report, drove around the city a little bit, keeping in good hopes.

Car info:
1974 Chevelle Malibu 2 door.
350 engine.
Blue with black vinyl top.
Corvette Rally Wheels.
Plates: AGQ 0166
VIN: 1C37H4B453421

Nice car, hope they find it for you. I sent a note to have this put in the stolen alert.

I will keep a look out for the car I am in SE MI. Was the car parked outside? Blocked by any other cars? locked? Alarm? Quite exhaust? I hope all turns out well. Will let you know if I see anything. There are actually a few of those on this side of town.

The car was parked outside in my driveway.
Was not blocked by other car.
It was locked with a Club on it.
No alarm.
Very loud Flowmaster dual exhaust.

It is in SE MI. It is in the 'Downriver' community. North of Monroe, south of Detroit. Surrounding towns are Brownstown, Gibraltar, Flat Rock, and Rockwood.

If I were you I'd be grilling that aunt and watching her like a hawk . (just kidding.)

Seriously, that is such a bummer. It is one very clean and stock '74 Malibu Colonnade Hardtop Coupe with Exterior Decor, 15x7 Rally Wheels & Dual Sport Mirrors.

It sounds like you aren't all that far from the Ohio border.

I wish you well, and good luck.

I'll keep an eye out for it. I lost my El Camino a couple of months ago - hopefully there's not some serial A-body theif around here. I wish you the best of luck getting it back!

Thanks to all. But I don't think I'll ever see it again. Yesterday, we went out to Irish Hills, MI(maybe some of you have been there?? :P) to see a 1974 Monte Carlo Landau that my grandma has been telling me about for about a month now. She a partial to the 73-77 MC's because she had a white 77 brand new.

Here are some details on the Monte Carlo, if anyone is interested in knowing:
1974 Monte Carlo Landau.
Teal with black Landau top.
Black cloth interior.(bench)
Deluxe seat belts.
Perfect, un cracked dash.
No A/C
350 2 barrel(the air pump and heat stove are still there and intact)
Cruise control.
60,200 documented original miles.
FULL documentation.
Rally wheels.
Build sheets, window sticker etc etc.
Only one previous owner.(the car is form an estate)
There is a factory AM/FM radio in the dash, but the original AM to the car is in the trunk.
The spare tire has never been taken out of the trunk.
Original paint in great shape.

Well, thats about all I can think of for now. We are going out to my grandma's(where the car is Irish Hills, MI) to test drive it tomorrow. I would like to have it home by the weekend.

If I get it, its name will be Lulu. I said to myself, the name had to rhyme with Sue, in memorial. If I didn't want the name to rhyme, I probably would have went with Monte Carla. :P
