John, did you ever find out what your steering wheel/column was out of? I have the same seal # 7812486 in my 55 chevy truck and for the life of me can't remember what year or model it came out of and I need a new one. Thanks JP

JP, no I don't know either. A buddy gave me another one that was in better shape than mine years ago.

I need on too, mine came out of a 86 chevy pickup, did you ever find one?
Where? If I dont find one soon i' rig one out of a bellows from oriellys.

If your talking about the black rubber boot that is held in by a wire type clip at the end of the pot joint housing they reproduce that now for the older columns. Try Inline Tube or Ground Up.
