Thumbs up Re: Vid of my 10.23 pass

If my car ran and launched that well, then I could care less what was thought of the music. Good Job!!!!!!

You need to get some of that twist under control. What is your rear suspension setup??

Looks good but a spring rate change/preload looks in order. What are you running for a rear suspension set- up...............I know somebody who would give his left one to make his launch like that!

I thought I was going to hear rap or something, especially when I saw that the vid was on streetfire. Nothing wrong with a little metal. I liked it. In fact, I think the only thing that would be better would be just hearing the car itself with no soundtrack.

Rear setup is Morrison no hop bars, in middle hole, dbl. adj. uppers, stock boxed lowers w/urethane bushings, some old ass monroe shocks and stock type springs. I dont know the spring rate but it sits about right.

I know the car needs a lot of work to be right, but it's coming along slowly. As I said in another thread, it's been a long time to get this far and there is only 48 passes on this setup. My plan is to go with QA1 shocks, round tube lowers, weld in anti roll bar and some Hotchkis frame braces. I am suprised the tires are still holding as they were new in 2000, just been on jackstands most of the time.

BTW this makes four (4) full 1/4 mile runs on the bottle. Now that the tuneup seems straightened out it's time to go to work on the rest of the car.

Thanks for the props !!
