there is know why of knowing how many was made in each color. chevy never kept thoes records for Chevelles. but I do see alot of Marnia blue, and Bolero red cars, so I would think they were the most popular colors for 67. but if they are like 67 Corvettes green was the most popular so I don't know what to tell you

Our '67 Malibu is Nantucket Blue and was repainted as close as possible to the original color. It is not a "wow" get noticed color like red or yellow, but we like it because it is not like everyone else. Value? Don't know if it helped or hindered. We built the car to our tastes. I guess if I was restoring it to "factory original" in all respects the correct color would benefit the value. Just my two cents.

before i even knew what the orginal color was i was going to go with a light blue and from looking at the orginal color i have decide that it will be the color i go with, since then i have feel in love with the color. how do you get the paint to as close as the orginal as possible? have a paint supplier follow GM's mixing chart? and if so where can this mixing chart be found?

Dupont has the color in base/clear coat. GM code "D" is Nantucket Blue. If its not in the computer have the paint dealer call the service rep and he will have the formula. I just had a nova wagon painted with it. Color is right on.

I'll go out on a limb and say Yes... painting it the original color, no matter what the color is.. will help keep it's value up. Code DD is was not one of the more popular colors, but sure is Pretty!, bettr IMO than Marina Blue. Anytime you have something original and that was not common, you will get more attention.

Good luck!

PS.. There is no excuse in my books for anyone to settle with a "close" to original color.. any reputable paint supplier should be able to mix it Correct!

Mike
