Hey Guys,
What do you think about using a couple gallons of E-85 to boost the octane?
I have trouble finding anything more than 91 here and I have a pinging issue. Timing is ok and so are the temps, just too much comp at 10-1.
Thanks for the input,
Marc
You can buy a drum of Sunoco race fuel and mix with your pump gas to achieve a higher octane, BUT I WOULD NOT USE ANY ETHANOL. The map shows a drag strip over in Asbury that carries Sunoco.
I've done it a bajillion times. Add 10 gallons of 93 Hess, then grab 10 gallons of E85 and read those plugs for detonation when spraying it. I do ass Stabil for those summer months where I am slammed at the shop and it is even too hot to play at night.
