The car has been repainted once, but it exactly the same color as the origional stuff. So yes, origional paint.

What color is your interior, mine is a mix match of green and black. the seat are a faded gold or white... not sure. Would like to take mine back to a orgional interior color.

I swear my next car is going to be a 65 Beaumont so I can park it next to my 65 442. Just as odd, but certainly just as interesting. I know they are rare, but why do we hardly ever see them for sale?

Very pissed at my dad right now (RIP, 1983). Why was I born in 71 instead of 51? What, you couldn't get it up when you were six?:D

But I blame my pops for my turtle as well as my car addiction.

Here is a 64 convertible that was at the Coeur D'Alene, ID, car show last weekend. The car show is every year and is called Car D'Alene. This was the first 64 that I have seen, and it was beautiful!

I went to the Peach City Beach Cruise in Penticton BC yesterday and I've never seen so many Beaumonts and Acadians in one place in my life. Man I'd like to get another one some day.

This pic is huge. I didn't want to downsize it so you can read the show card. What is so rare about this car to warrant the guy wanting 72 G's???

The rest of the show pics here.

The beaumont convertible is a 1/66 built, maybe 20 remaining?... very rare, nicely optioned...If I had money to burn, I'd buy it! $72g's is a high number though! If it was a chevelle that rare, it'd get that money pretty easy, a beaumont...I'd say mid 50s on that one, if it's all numbers...

Here's mine... restored it when I was 14, and still driving it!

Apparently they did make a 68...none in 69. There is also a claimed potential 65 cheetah being restored... It would be nice to see any real paperwork that substantiates these cars as cheetahs. Probably the only thing that would be authentic is an original sales receipt with a cheetah option listed on it.... So it looks like its reasonable to believe that Conroy made them in 66-68.

Chris, have you posted pics of your car?
ak

ps my cousin used to own a super rare original 69sd 396 post car

Interesting to see you guys using soft8 style rims on these cars! Those rear tires are sure stuffed in there! Have you raced the car on the track? any timeslips?

ak

Not soft 8 wheels, these are a set of Bassett D-hole lightweight wheels with a set of mickey SR tires.

I have raced it with the old setup and pulled a 13.2 on those street tires, i am expecting a high 12's on street tires and mayby around 12.5 on slicks?
