Well, even with it freezing rain today. I didn't want the big block fan club to gain an advantage. lol I spent the day tuning my main spark table trying to get this "anti lag" as was brought up earlier. I finally figured it out and got it to work. Can't wait to make a full 1/4 mile pass in this thing against some high dollar big blocks. Last year the best I could get it to leave on was 5lbs of boost. Hence the ****ty 60ft. I wonder how she will 60ft now? I will bet the wheelies are back and some 120mph passes in the 1/8th and 150+ mph passes in the 1/4 are within reach.
I got it to get to 10lbs easy on the footbrake and 14lbs on the transbrake in around 3 seconds. Here is the video.

I think you nailed it!
Should be a spectacular launch now. Go practice that out front and take a video of the launch! Doug |

Del, how much timing are you pulling to do that?

I ended up right at -10. Here is how I attempted to get the boost build better.
1. Same timing 2. -2 3. -4 4. -6 5. -8 6. -10 7. -12 It got better each time and at -12 it started to get worse again. Then at -10 I leaned it a couple numbers each time. I have the boost controller set at 14lbs so I am NOT getting any more than that with the setting she is on. Wonder what she will do with a 14lbs launch and 14lbs down the track IF she doesn't blow up in the process. BTW-Thanks for the anti-lag suggestion. Those guys actually posted NOT to do it this way on an automatic because you have to swap back to a street tune. Who cares? It takes all of 2 minutes to make a tune swap. I think I will use it this way. We shall see how it does. Our entire area is covered in ice right now. Figures.

I am willing to sacrifice the engines at this point because my goal is to get one to run in the 5's.

I also forgot to mention that on that tune to build boost, once I get to the track I will probably have to build the timing back up and then back down as it heads down the track. That will either do some damage or it will make it run very, very fast. My thinking is the timing is so low when you release the transbrake, that at that point the engine will be under complete load and will need some of the timing back without having too much or too little. I am thinking I will need to add half of the timing (5) back from 4k-4400, and maybe 3 more back from 44-4800. At that point it will be at the rpms to be at full boost and I can have the timing to drop back down again to 16 at WOT. Just thinking out load. If it works, car should perform. Don't know how many passes this little 180,000 5.3 has right now. On a side note I had some stickers made to go on my cowl hood that said Sinister. I spent a good deal of time to get them on and now I don't like them. Probably going to take me all day to peel them off if I do.
