One of the main things is make sure all the paperwork is done and with the car when it gets to the border.

What paperwork other than bill of sale and title would I need? I also would like to see your album of cars, It doesn't show up online.

I've sold 2 cars to Us buyers from Canada. Since I live close to the border, I have driven them over to the DAS shipping depot in Buffalo. You just need to have the title, or ownership as we call it, receipt, and declare the car at the border, stating that it is being imported. The first car I sold had zero issues, but the second one, the customs agent must have been new and just waved me on. When the car got to the buyer he had a problem registering it at the DMV because the car was not legally imported. I assume he was able to sort it out with the local port authority as I never heard from him after that.

Bottom line is that it is easy. The car I have now was imported from the US by me, that is a little more hassle due to the US regulations when a car is leaving the country.

hope that helps.

Thank you. Yes, I had it at the Maryland show. I am trying to make the rounds of most of the shows east of the Mississippi. i really enjoyed that show. It was a great location and a lot of nice cars.
