Default 1970 fuel sending unit wire?

Can anyone tell me where the fuel sending unit wire that attaches to the sending unit at the gas tank runs to? I need to know if it runs to the back of the car and ties into the rear tail light harness on the driver's side or where at? If someone has a picture, that would help also.
Thanks in advance!

It plugs into the harness in the trunk on the driver's side and that wire loom runs under the floor mats to near the fuse block.

Actually,iIt depends on the car. On a 70, it is a tan extension wire that comes off the sending unit and plugs into the main rear body harness in the trunk.

I have the tan wire coming off the sending unit, but didn't know where to run it for now and I am getting ready to put the gas tank up in the car, as I don't have any of the other wires in the car anywhere, and someone else took the car apart! So does it need to run over towards the driver's rear taillight and up thru the big hole in the rear taillight area?
Thanks for the help!

hmm, as I recall, it comes up through a hole near the trunk latch.

You are correct! That is where it plugs into the ear body harness.

Run it through the hole on the driver side with the brake/tail lights. The right rear marker light wires run through the hole on the other side by the trunk latch

My 70 has a plug connector behind the rear bumper, driver/left side accessible from the underside of car or through the license plate opening. And the other end connect to the sending unit on the tank.

Ray - that's the hookup location.

Is that your car before the restore, or was that the car prior to the SG?

That's correct. If I reading his post he was wondering where the wire went to.

The car in the picture is the first car I purchased also a shadowgray paint coded car but and got screwed on it, it was a 6 cylinder vin car even though it was advertized as an SS car. Had I found TC before I started looking I would have been better educated. It became a parts car.

The picture and description helps! I have a round looking push plug (looks like a rubber grommet) on the end of the tan wire and wasn't sure where it pushed thru, the body or the frame.
Thanks to all who answered!

Lance, thanks for the pic - it helps me as the tank will go in this weekend if all goes well. Nice to see the wire routing etc.
