A 'vert frame might weigh 200, but I don't think a coupe frame weighs that much. I can carry a coupe frame by myself.. So I'd say right around 200 for a 'vert.
I must be weak, it took everything in me to drag a '66 frame to the back of my shop. Granted it still had the control arms and drums on the front but that thing was heavy!!
I'd be surprised if a vert frame is 200 lbs. I tried to pick up and carry my 69 frame on my shoulder and couldn't do it. It could have been the leverage I had wasn't sufficient but I couldn't even lift it. I should have no trouble at least picking up 200 lbs that way. I could drag it from the front by grabbing the horns no problem.
If I had to guess, I'd put the vert frame north of 250. With any suspension at all on it you're north of 300. I can barely pick up and rotate the back of a frame with rear suspension and axel and wheels attached, no way on the front with everything but the engine (or at least I stopped when my body started creaking )
This thread seems to confirm that. Maybe there is a big difference between years?
When I had my 67 coupe frame galvanized, it weighed in at 150 lbs.
