I just read a post about dealer emblems and thought it would be neat to have an original dealer emblem on the back of my 66. I need to know what dealer sold the car before I can look for an emblem, though. Anyone ever deal with this?
I agree it might be cool on a classic car, especially if the dealer is long out of business. I have purchased many new cars and warned the salesman that if I saw their advertising on my brand new car the deal was off. A license plate holder with their logo is one thing but anything on the car doesn't flush. Most have gotten away from advertising on the body of the car.
if you are lucky enough to have a build sheet or any of your original delivery paperwork, usually those documents have the selling dealers name and location
The NICB supposedly has the info,on all cars, but you really have to know someone on the inside anymore, from what I've heard.Just knowing a trooper anymore won't do it.
