Check out the flowmaster website. They have sound clips that can give you a general idea of how their mufflers sound.

The video in my sig is 3" walker turbo's side exit...
 sounded like crap!I now have 3" flowmaster 40's dumped at the axle...Sounds less like crap-more like loud!

Here is one of my small block the last time I started it before I yanked it in favor of the big block. tree fiddy, sportsman II's, lunati .515" cam. The exhaust was full length 2.5", x-pipe, and v-force mufflers.

OK it's not a chevelle, but it's mine.
454BBC, Voodoo hyd roller, edelbrock heads, Victor Jr, 1.75" equal length headers, 3" collectors, 3" pipe to Dynomax Ultraflo SS mufflers dumped out the side in front of the rear tires. http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...w_Ride---1.flv
