Default 64/65 el camino bed

Hi everyone,

I am trying to make a "driver" out of two el caminos (64 & 65) and niether of the beds floors are very nice. I tried to match it up to a pick-up truck floor thinking that maybe I could replace it with a complete bed floor from a truck but they do not match. Does anyone know if bed floors or patch panels are available? Or perhaps if there is a truck bed floor that matches up pretty close? Thanks

Awesome, Thanks! There are so many different parts dealers and it is very interesting that each of them have that one little item that the others do not.

Thanks again.

Be careful, those bed sections are not direct replacements. Also, on the '65 the section that is covered by the smugglers box is reduced in size to make way for the overlapping smugglers box cover. If the pitch between the ribs is different on the new panels, you might be creating more work for yourself.

You have two beds... Are they both destroyed?

Here's mine when I started tearing it apart

Here it is all patched back together. I had sheetmetal shop bend the ribbed pieces that run the length of the frame rails... those rotted out the worst. I had to flattent the ends by the tailgate area.

Here it is pre fitted in the bed area.

If possible, re use what you can...
