Decided to order some sound dampener from McMaster Carr that I had seen mentioned by a few guys. I had been mulling it over for awhile and finally decided it was worth a try since it was so inexpensive. After getting home from the gym, got on the computer and placed order, by the time I was done it was noon +/- 5 minutes. Went outside and started cleaning up the truck and waxing the Chevelle. 3pm a van pulls down driveway, thought it was a family friend, but I was wrong. Guy gets out of the van and has a big box and asks me to sign his clip board. I ask who is the shipment from, he tells me McMaster Carr. I am shocked to say the least. 3 hours from ordering on the computer to delivery in my driveway. What do you guys think of that?

I've had this happen on several occasions, ordered from them at work and had it on my proch when I got home.... They rock, wish they sold car and motorcycle parts....

Sure can tell these days who values thier customers, I ordered my Lokar throttle set up last night at 7pm from Summit,it shipped at 5:05 this morning, my package showed up at SCC parcel pickup. Port HUron at 11:27 this morning UPS Ground 1-3 days. 21hrs. Remarkable.

I placed an order Wed around 3 pm at UMI Performance and by 4pm I had an email with a Fed Ex tracking number. I had my parts as of 10:37am Thursday........not bad.

the delivery of my 72 4 door would rival that.
When I got my 4 door it came from Spokane Washington, and was delivered to Acworth GA.
It was loaded on a truck at 4PM west coast time on a Monday, on Wednesday (2 days later) at 8PM eastern time it was sitting in my driveway. That is about 2,359 miles in what is that 49 hours? Not too bad in my book.
Oh and when it was picked up it was put on a flatbed and moved into town on to another truck.

I use McMaster almost everyday. They do carry a lot of stuff. Always get the order the next day. Much better than Grainger.

We also get McMaster Carr next day on all orders. Their prices are a little high on most items but this is because everything is in stock, I mean I don't think I have ever seen something out of stock and they hav e hard to find items. So you pay a little more their service, having everything you need and fast shipping.

Same day delivery must mean you are close by!!

I can't beat that, but I routinely get my Summit orders within 20-24 hours, and they are 140+ miles away... Ordered some stuff last Wednesday afternoon, and it was at my house before noon on Thursday...

Most of the "delay" was the UPS and FED Ex drivers, as it left their terminals (out for delivery) at around 6 am...

i ordered stuff from npd florida at 2pm usa time on a monday. it was in my mothers house on the following weds morning at ten am irish time, thats fast.
