What's the going rate for a set of Bumper Guards for a 1964 Chevelle?
I have an NOS front and rear set with the hardware and a re-chromed set of fronts but have no idea what the actual going rate is. All guards are nice no issues with the chrome. NOS ones are NOS in the boxes. The re-chromed ones were not used since chromed. I checked on Ebay and the prices are all over the place. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Hi Ray,
The last set of NOS Bumper Guards I purchased were $225.00 shipped to my door. It included the brackets, bolts and boxes. As far as the rechromed Bumper Guards are concerned, Tri City charges $75.00 each to rechrome and you have to supply the cores.

Thanks guys.
If the current value is only $100-225 for the NOS set I will keep them on the shelf. I seem to remember that the rears were hard to find when I wanted them. I might throw the re-chromed ones on Ebay and see what they bring. Although, I am afraid I won't even get my re-chroming cost back. Thanks again. |

I just saw an NOS front set on ebay with a bin of $150. I felt lucky to get a complete re-chromed set on ebay awhile back for $100. So I would think you should be in the $300 range for front and rear.

nos guards are a tricky business.
They are worth about $150-$200 per pair for 64, IMO. Be careful as not all guards are created equally. Some have poor finish from GM, if the pictures aren't clear, ask for them. Also 65 guards looks similar. check the numbers or get an example picture to compare. |
