I just got back from the car show / auction at Atlantic City and as I browsed the various tables with tools on them, it became more evident than ever that we really have gone to 3rd world status. With the exception of some of the socket sets, 99% of all of the "shop" tools are ALL mfgr'd. in CHINA. What a shame, I remeber when 99% of all tools and shop supplies were made in the USA. I guess I am still old school.

great tools are still made and sold in the usa every day, but they are not at the bargain table at the swap meet.

There was a guy at the Pate swap meet last weekend selling good used Snap On wrenches, sockets, ratchets, and other stuff at great prices (for SnapOn stuff). Picked up 4 sockets for $12.
