Anyone buy a new Blueray DVD player ,new to buy one Thanks Joe

I bought one about 6 months ago. Might as well look at the 3D blu ray players so if you ever get or already have a 3d TV you can watch the 3D movies. Mine is a Panasonic

If you need a T.V. go to Best Buy, they bundle stuff. I just bought a 52" flat screen and they gave me the choice of a Bluray or PS3, being the PS3 is also a bluray, I opted for it. I get to play bluray, and when the kids are over, they have video games to play....

PS3 with 60GB hard drive is what I did as well, just have to buy basic controller separate if you don't like the game controller. Had it for 3 years now, excellent quality.

Also, with the PS3 you can plug in external hard drives and thumb drives with movies saved to them, and then play them from the external drive.

If you just want a player the PS3 may not be for you... Just my opinion.

What Dustin said but I have a Samsung 3D player and got it with my 58" Samsung 3D TV as a bundle package and it works great.

Playstation 3 is definitely the way to go IMO. It plays games, Blu-rays and 3-D Blu-rays. Also, firmware updates are very easy to download and install when it requires them.

Buying a TV from Best Buy is a very bad idea. The difference between buying a TV from Best Buy and buying a TV from Amazon.com is hundreds of dollars in your pocket. I bought my 55" 3D LED Samsung from Amazon and saved $800 compared to what Best Buy wanted for the exact same TV. The same goes for the Blu-rays themselves. Trust me, Amazon is the way to go. Blu-rays that cost $24.99 at Best Buy can usually be had for less than $10 at Amazon. We are talking about brand new, unopened Blu-rays too, no shady stuff or anything like that. I buy all my electronics from Amazon and have never had one single issue in years of use. The money I've saved from buying electronics online instead of at BB is easily in the thousands of dollars.

As far as buying a PS3 at a place like Best Buy, that's ok because the price for consoles is "set" the same everywhere. The only difference is you will not pay tax on a purchase from Amazon.

I disagree PS3 is or will be shortly outdated technology. I am sure sony will release a new console here shortly and also they cost more than Blu Ray players. and yes I do own a PS3.

I'll second that. I've bought a lot of electronics and blu-rays from Amazon.

I've always had pretty good luck ordering from Crutchfield. +1 on 3D for upgrading later. You'll love The HD picture and sound.
