I converted my alternator in my 70 chevelle to a 3 wire internal regulator. When you put the key in the on position the generator light does not go on. If I disconnect the radio lead ( the wire that allows the clock to run and presets to stay in) from the fusebox the generator light will work correctly. Any suggestions.
