Default Auto Fab rack and pinion install.

I got my rack and pinion from Auto Fab it is a manual setup and is bolt in. The whole thing was $900 and is a very nice piece. The rack and u joints for the column are Flaming River and the rest they fabricated. The whole thing can be installed in probably 4-5 hours depending on how fast you work. I will post some pictures of the install when I am done.

Do you have to use their steering arms?

I don't see any problem in that area. Everything is bolted in. After emoval of my steering box and rest of the stuff it went in in about 2 hours. I just have to do the column.

Slick stuff. They have some decent prices over there, I wasnt aware of this company and their rack and pinion. I am very interested in how it turns out for you, looks like good stuff. Please keep us updated on the install and the end results. Did you get the billet arms or the other powder coated set?

I haven't tried mine but I would say yes. There seem to be plenty of room.

the steering arms look like they extend out further than the stock regular ones. Could you still fit a fat wide 15" rim/tire setup in the front or would you have to goto a larger wheel size?

looks like a nice bolt in piece, with it being so far forward would oneexpect any bump steer out of this kit?

The steering arms are longer and I don't think they will interfere with the wheels.

Is THIS the kit you installed? Does it require any fabrication or welding or is it all just bolt up and drive off?

edit: Nevermind. Just read the "no welding required" part on their site...what length rack did you use?

They gave you the rack in the kit. It is very easy to install.
