Hey Guys,

We just want to clarify how the discounting works and the free shipping promo.

All paying Team Chevelle members receive a 10% discount excluding kit items, sale items, etc. (generally any type of item that is specially priced already). This discount cannot be combined with free shipping or any other special offers.

In order to receive your team discount you must enter your team number (or username if you don't have your number) in the box at checkout.

Rick unfortunately there's nothing we can do about free freight because the order was made on 4/12/12 and it also had oversize items on it. The promotion was from 4/13/12 - 4/15/12 and it excluded any oversize or truck items. We did apply your Team Chevelle discount however.

Understood Ken. I faxed the order late on 4/12 but it did not get processed until Friday morning. I understand how things work I was just a little miffed that I could not get partial free freight on an order that was processed two hours before the promotion took place and no one said anything about it. Plus the catalog says free FedEx on most orders over $295 on stock items only but I now see you cannot get the 10% plus the free freight. As I said before, I could have easily cancelled the order and reordered to get the free freight but shouldn't have to.

As far as the discount, unfortunately I need to re-member up with Team Chevelle and have been slacking. The 10% discount I got was a jobber discount which I would have gotten anyway as the order was over $900. You have great service and good products and I will continue to purchase them from you, it just bothered me about the extra money I could have saved. A 10% profit margin does not give me a lot of room to make money from customers and every little bit helps.

I get confused sometimes trying to keep all the vendors straight, who offer discounts, who has freight deals, etc, etc. With over $100k a year every little bit adds up and covers my costs associated with ordering, filing, calling, etc. 10% barely covers my cost to place an order. Some offer more, some none at all. Year One no longer gets my large orders due to all the hassles so their loss. No sweat, all is good and rules are rules.

Sorry Paul, I thought it was Ken posting. Thank you for the kind gesture. Every little bit helps as you are well aware. I have three complete concours frame offs and one make over heading into the shop within a couple of weeks so it should not be hard to use up a credit. Thanks again for listening.

Tip for everyone, don't try to restore a car in Hawaii unless you're ready to spend an extra 25% on average to ship your parts in. Frustrating...

Box showed up finally. Could've been boxed up in a lot smaller, non-oversized box, IMHO. But, it was well packed, and the trim looks great. Thanks Ground Up, I searched a lot of other suppliers, and came up empty, everyone backordered a couple months. From what I understand, this was GU's last set of cab moldings too, so I'm grateful that you held them over the weekend and confirmed the order, and didn't sell them out from under me while we were playing email and phone tag a couple of days. Thanks again.

If members are not happy what are they sponsors of this forum?? They have their picture on the top of every page which is incredible advertising and exposure for their business. This is to "chevelle enthusiasts" mind you which is obviously their main source of business.

If the sponsor who benefits from members don't do the right thing then maybe look for a new sponsor. Its called mutually beneficial!

(I personally have no experience using them btw)
