Hey everyone, I'm brand new to this site and the whole forum thing but here it goes. A few years back I used and El Camino frame, because of the full boxing of it like the convertible, under my 67 Chevelle. Of course i cut out the required 6"s on the back of the frame so it would work with the Chevelle. My dilemma is, I want to do the same thing now to my 68 Chevelle, but the guy at True Connections said I would have to make a few more cuts on the frame to make it work. I would also like to know if it would have to be a 68 or 69 El Camino frame or could I use a 71 El Camino frame? I know the front fenders are different on a 70-72, but not on the 68-69. Can anyone help me?

Dick at True Connections knows his stuff, Here's a diagram that shows both frames.
The Elky frame is longer in the middle and also the tail section.
