I saw a 1964 Chevelle, with a piece of sheet metal attached to the bracket that hold the two fenders together "upper grille tie bar". It was filler pieces bent 90 ó filling the open space between the grill & radiator created my this bar. One on each side. It had formal lettering "Chevelle & year" on the upper bent part which would be facing you as you looked toward the open hood..
This piece actually closes off the open space acting like an air dam directing all air to go straight into the radiator. I was a OPG, they don't know anything about it. Any help is appreciated Thanks in advance |
