Default 1967 Rear End

Just an FYI
Went to a swap meet yesterday, and a guy had an early 67 posi unit. It did not have the original gears in it. Sold in about an hour for $1,900.00. That's what you pay when it's a one year only part.

There is a buyer for everything. When I was doing my 70 Ss454 Monte I was in dire need for a 12 bolt posi. Guy shows up at Super Chevy with a 3.31. Asking price? I offered a grand for it and must have carried the entire housing on my shoulder for over an hour. Remember? 2007? When everything was worth twice what it is today with everybody walking around with a fistfull of refi money on them?

I sold a 67 12 bolt to a member here for 900 it was coded 4.56 posi but had 3.31 installed. Probably should have sold it for more but it paid for the 4.10 12 bolt posi for my 71 nova. I do have a complete 3.31 12 bolt out of a 72 El Camino that Im hoarding for some future project unless someone with more money than sense offers me stupid money for it.
