Just to update this...
Ran the control arms thru work last Thursday evening...welds and Quality Control check on material passed with flying colors. Was commented to me that the welds looked robotic. ![]() Excellent penatration and coverage. ![]() We proceeded ahead and installed this set of tubular a-arms on my '67 Sedan today. A couple of observations... I DO NOT like the supplied ball joints. They look inferior to me and I'm not a trusting person when it comes to ball joints anyhow due to past experiences. I chose to replace both upper and lower joints with AFCO low friction ones. However, the stock Chevelle replacement Spicer or Moog joints would work fine too. Second, and really only a minor complaint, the lower shock mounting holes are threaded but then threads were filled during the powdercoat process. I had to chase the holes with a 5/16" tap. Easy enough to do even on the car but still... ![]() On a positive note, I do like the heim joint/swiveling sway bar end links and the supplied poly bumpers. We replaced the front springs at the same time...removing the SB Hotchkis lowering ones and installed the 525 lb rating BB Hotchkis version. But before heading to the Alignment machine, I'm giving the new springs a few days to settle down. With two 1/8" shims at all four positions, and a quick look at the front wheels, the camber looks close enough to drive. ![]() We'll soon find out how much caster is provided. More to come... |

I think it says something on the ad about something at a slightly different angle. Other than that I dont think the measurements are other than stock. Im not sure about weight savings. I think mainly they will be stronger and better made than 40 year old stock ones.

No alignment done yet...I'm waiting for a new wooden 3 spoke steering wheel kit to be delivered so I can install it before heading to the alignment rack. Swapping steering wheels usually puts the new one crooked.
![]() Probably gonna be two more weeks... |

Now I'm tempted. I have both upper and lowers removed from my 67 right now and was trying to find some place to blast them and install the new ball joints and bushings. I might just be better off with these. decisions decisions
