I took it as tongue in cheek. I doubt the guy is ignorant, (well, he IS dealing with Fords), but rather makes a silly ad for something that looks like crap and he knows it. Some people will buy something like that because the ad made them laugh more than the next one offering a similar thing. Maybe the guy was just bored and thought funny was the way to go. I can believe that. I have personally seen some of the most unworthy crap sold on eBay because, as the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure. He'll toss it on the curb, but why not run it up the flag pole and see what happens? I wouldn't do it, but I'll agree that ad was halarious.
