Default Brake pull

On and on I go with these drum brakes - now after getting the e-brake installed from scratch in place and working correctly with brakes bled, I am getting a severe pull to the left (most recent work done on left rear or driver's side brakes) - so i loosened up the e-brake quite a bit, and I still have the pull - I am going to have to pull the drum and check my final work on brakes (seemed OK when I put drum back on, just snug but not overly tight) - does it sound like regular brakes adjusted to tight on driver's side? ie; pull to left means brake on left side has problem? (posi rear end)

I don't think it has anything to do with the parking brake. A pull to one side is a front brake issue. Sounds like the rt front brake isn't adjusted tight enough, or not working at all, or the left front is way too tight. It could also be a front brake bleeding problem. I'd also look to be sure all the wheel cylinders are good, as well as the all the brake springs.

I agree, it is in the fronts. Could be bad wheel cyl, brk line, out of adj., or brk linings covered in grease or brk fluid. Thomas

I got a severe side-to-side imbalance after a rear drum brake job once, when I mistakenly installed both leading shoes on one side, and both trailing shoes on the other side. It was not an A-body, but I assume that the drums on these things likewise have a leading and a trailing brake shoe. If so, it's easy to get them mixed up out of the box. Weirdly, I didn't really feel any pull until one of the front disc brake calipers ate into the disc. The imbalance had changed the side-to-side distribution of the brakes so much that the disc on one side was toast within 2 weeks. Once I swapped the rear drum brake shoes around to the correct leading/trailing configuration, it was all perfect.
