I'll ask my Camino Brothers if this is worth listing here at TC. I bought a complete dash for my 1967 Camino off evilBay last year that came with all the SS marking, Glove box, black trim instead of wood colored, and a 4 speed cluster where the D123 are blank indicating it was for a stick shift. The seller told me it was from a parted out '66 SS and I only paid $50 for the whole thing including shipping and was surprised I won it. Anyhow, It has the clock; I didn't test the clock but she looks great, I tested the fuel gauge and speedometer and they both work great and look to be in good condition. All I did to this cluster was I replaced the chrome trim because some of the chrome was scratched off and installed a new repro and that was it. The complete cluster looks great front and back; I was going to use it but decided to go digital instead. Is this cluster worth posting here at TC and if so what's a fair price for it without ripping anyone off? I have 25 dollars into it which was the cost of the trim. I was just going to keep it just in case I decided to go back to original but I like my digital package so much I don't think I ever will and I'm concerned it's going to get dropped while in my garage. I've seen people list them here from time to time but I don't know if they sell or not. I could attach a picture if it's needed.

Its worth some decent money if its real. Thought they all had woodgrain strips and the 4 spd plate (unless car was an T400)as far as I know had no opening at all, plate was solid. Thing is anyone could have changed stuff along the way, how to really tell?
![]() Personally wish I never changed mine, kind of like the old clock inthe dash but am too lazy to take the dash back out. Pretty sure the SS had the clocks in the console, on either side of the speedo there were 2 gauges il/coolant, other side batt/fuelDoes it have the middle opening for AC? I am NO expert but I am under the impression the cars could without these. Someone correct me here. Every big block 66-7- Ive seen has had them though. This willl probably get moved to classifieds I may be interested though. port4hp@live.com 818-800-1178 Im in Los Angeles This is mine...its a fake SS dash. Has the repop SS gauges but below if you look carefully I blocked off the drive indicator area, yours should be solid metal with no hole in the middle.

That's a good question rak. I have a 67 console shift w/ clock, just like you it needs the trim and I've been debating if it's worth ordering the trim and trying to sell it, or leave it on the shelf for.....?????
Kind of like the floor shift steering columns I have, and the pristine un-molested underdash wiring harness, and the perfect underhood harness for a 67 AC car, and and and...... It is stuff that would cost a fortune if you were looking FOR it, but trying to get rid of it,, you don't want to give it away, but in the back of your mind is that,, maybe someday!!!!

Marv Ive been wanting a non column shift column forever, just could never afford one. Heck I was quoted $400 for a rusty SS plate for my dash.
Had to go backwoods on this one, Im not THAT anal.

I have 2 manual columns. one for a PS gear box one for a manual box. (I believe the rag joint and the flange is the only difference, not length) Both need some work but if you still need one PM - e-mail me so we don't get this licked out of the Camino forum.
I bought the 67 parts car from Phillip mostly because it had an original manual shift TILT column. The column needed a little work but it was one of those things that I just had to have (you know how that goes) .

Sure don't, It was a rust bucket and a vinyl top car to boot (you could put your finger through the epoxy patched roof). The remains went to the crusher a few months ago. (Trust me, wasn't anything but one decently patched quarter and a OK stationwagon frame left.)

FYI...the '66 and '67 dash assemblies are different...both in the headlight/wiper switch spacing and the opening for the steering column. The '67 dash has a larger column opening for the collapsable steering column first introduced in '67.
And ALL '66 dashes had a black strip...no woodgrain in '66. The speedo assembly can be easily changed from a column shift to a floor shift by simply changing the lens and the bezel. In fact, all the repop bezels I've seen have no cutout for a column shift gear indicator.

Pretty sure this breakdown is correct... 300 series: 1966 - No dash strip and no optional clock. 1967 - No dash strip and clock in dash optional (RPO U35). 300 Deluxe series: 1966 - No dash strip and no optional clock. 1967 - Silver dash strip and clock in dash optional (RPO U35). Malibu series and Concours wagon in 1967: 1966 - Black dash strip and clock in dash standard. 1967 - Woodgrain dash strip and clock in dash standard. SS396 series: 1966 & 1967 - Black dash strip and clock in dash standard. 1966/1967 Malibu sport coupe, convertible, pickup: * When console (RPO D55) ordered, clock moved to console. * When full gauges ordered (RPO U14), clock moved to top of dash (1966) or transmission tunnel (1967) unless console (RPO D55) ordered, then clock still went into console as a result of the console being ordered. 1966/1967 Gauges option on Malibu sport coupe, convertible, pickup: * 1966 L6 and V8 could order gauge package but tachometer only came when ordered with V8 engine. * 1967 required V8 engine for gauge package. * Tachometer (RPO U16) could be ordered without gauges but was included with RPO U14 except as noted for 1966 L6 engines. 1966/1967 SS396 sport coupe & convertible: Same as V8 Malibu sport coupe & convertible above concerning optional gauges and/or optional console.

Well I listed the Cluster in the classifieds for $75 and I also listed a repo SS hood for $120; the hood comes with all the trim and inserts. Wish me luck....
