No real reason why I didn't go to coilovers, just old school I guess, they certainly would of gave me more room for the exhaust. Getting 3" exhaust over the axle, with the frame moved it like that was a real challenge. I have threaded adjusters on top of the springs. I added 3" to the stock wheelhouses. I wanted a stock look. ![]() ![]()

I do have a lot of hours in it. A lot more then I expected. But the whole bottom side will be very slick, I filled, sanded, fill primed, sanded, fill primed, and sanded a 2nd time. I guess my hours are cheap, lol. It'll be gloss black when done. |

Mark,
That is one of the nicest frame narrow jobs that I have seen.Iam right in the middle of the construction of my frame.I have been on the fence with narrow or notch. What made your mind up and do you have more pictures of the frame and any measurements where you cut it?The wheelhouses are exactly how I was planning mine.Did you expand the opening or just widen them?Does your fuel tank fit? |

Oh yeah, I did have to notch my tank to clear the frame. I don't have any pics of that yet. Sometimes I forget things I've done to this car, lol. ![]() ![]()

That looks good. What did you use to create the 1" radius? Bead roller? |

Mark you did a great job. Where are you located in Missouri? It looks like you add the 3 inches to the inner tub, Is that correct? Are the outer tubs stock? Thanks Eric

Man, you guys' modded frames look good. I was wondering though, since I'm not quite up on my tire to wheel width conversion sense, what size were the rims used and how wide was the overall tire once mounted?

i really wanted to just widen the tubs as you did, but once i cut out the inner and test fit the tire, it wasnt enough on my body style.
