Hey guys,
Car finally coming out of paint shop jail. Getting ready to start on interior and would appreciate any and all opinions. My '69s roof soundproofing looks like new. Would it be worth the hassle to strip all this stuff out and go with a newer product like Hushmat? I'm trying to decide if the new stuff is that much better than stock. Also wondering if Hushmat, et al, would come loose under the heat of summer. Old stuff looks like it would hold up another 40 years. Opinions?

ANYBODY replace stock sound deadener with Dynamat or Hushmat?
Notice any difference?

If it really looks "like new" I'd leave it alone. Nothing will "sound proof" the area. I had to replace mine 'cause it was thoroughly deteriorated and was hiding rust.
I put "Reflectix" on mine. Here's a link to the recent thread with pics: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=293153 Dan
