Default 66 newbie

first off i would like to say hello to everyone, and i am glad i found this site. i have been lurking for a while and thought i should join and make a contribution once in a while. now for the bad......my current eye sore is a 66 Malibu and the only reusable panel is going to be the trunk lid. the rest is full of rust and bondo. some people would probably junked this car or passed on it, but this way i get to build it from the ground up my way. here is a link to the pic, tell me what you guys think. thanks.... Jason

Welcome aboard Jason. I started with a 66 as bad as yours. Hey we may wind up with a fortune in them, but at least they won't be crushed. Take your time and enjoy it.

Welcome aboard, Jason! Your car doesn't look that bad; people on here have resurrected a lot worse.

I'm glad to see another '66 saved from the crusher. Good luck!

thanks for all the support, i do agree, by the time i am finished i probably could have bought a couple cars for what i am going to spend, but the 66 is special to me, my father, aunt, and uncle all had 66 super sport's when they were in school, and there is a picture of all three parked together in my grandmothers driveway where she still lives. growing up, the car was more of a legend to us kids than a car, i am glad i finally got my hands on one. sorry for the novel, again thanks

Welcome, Jason.

I'm also in the early stages of a '66 Malibu build, and I have already learned a lot and avoided a few problems with the help of those on this site. You'll find it very valuable.
