Hey guys. What do you make of this? Lower ball joint on SPC arm with AFX spindle. Ball joint comes through the spindle about 3/8 of an inch. I've tightened it about as much as I can without hitting it with an impact. Is it possible I have the wrong ball joint?

Wrong ball joint or wrong taper on the spindle... talk to your vendor.... DO NOT put an impact wrench on it!

Yeah, just make the phone call. I error'ed in asking my question prematurily, even though it was an open ended question that I thought would serve to help others. I got my problems solved quicky - and now I cannot edit the initial post.

Mine was about the upper ball joint and a stock (but old) GM spindle. My spindle was on the edge of being too loose up to, which caused it to butt ("bottom out") against the stepped portion of the howe BJ. Only because my taper was still good and the fit was snug, I was able to chamfer the upper spindle opening to prefent contact with the stepped portion of the aftemarket ball joint. After doing that the ball joint did not sit any further into the spindle as I could still see a gap between the spindle and the stepped portion of the BJ. I am happy with the outcome.
