Default My new replacement tailgate for the '67

My question is when I replace my current tailgate with the new one I just got off eBay #190341711928 will I just unbolt the old one and bolt up the replacement, or do you have to adjust the hinges, etc to make it fit? Has anyone removed and installed a tailgate on their Camino? The reason I bought the new one was because mine is dented and very wavy so instead of re-skinning it I thought replacing it would be cheaper. Not to mention my tailgate is missing all the chrome which this one has. Any help would be wonderful.

You need to mark the outline of the existing hinge locations before you take it off. That will save some time putting the new one back close to correct fit. You will need to play with the hinge settings to be sure the catches and the alignment all around are correct.

Hope it's a GM part - lots of people (including myself) have been MORE than dissatisfied with complete repro. tailgates.

Yes it is with all the factory white paint, wear, and dings to prove it and it came with factory hinges, emblems, latch, and all the chrome trim. All it's missing is the chrome straps to hold it up, but I've got them. eBay #190341711928.
