What is it?
are there any other #'s I need to find? That is a casting number only. Two places to look for identification. Towards the rear RH side you will see a metal plate riveted to with letters printed & numbers stamped on the lower portion. This will indicate year & application. EX: BB or OW will indicate Buick GS Stage 1 70-72. Will also apply to Olds as a plant strike caused parts to be sourced from where ever they could find them. PW is '69 Pontiac Grand Prix. My Skylark is LA. Lower LH side, just above the pan & very close to the speedo cable you will find a raised flat section with VIN information for the car it was originally in. These numbers are stamped. My car is:41Z109991 translates into 4=Buick, 1=1971, Z=Freemont CA assembly plant, 109991=sequence build number for that plant. The next car down the line was 109992. |
