I just installed a set of Flow Tech headers in my '72 Wagon.
It has a 350 and man is #6 a mess to get to with the sparkplug boot. Anybody have any suggestions? It's been quite awhile since I've played with a small block but I don't recall having this issue with the #6 sparkplug tip being a matter of maybe 1/4 inch away from the back side of the header tube. |

What plugs are you using?
So far, I have found the Accel plugs to be the shortest, which is what I use for the SB400 in the 70. Also, from personal comparrison, I've found that the Bosch plugs are the next shortest to the Accel plugs. If you're using AC or Champion, then you probably need to switch to a shorter plug.

I'll check on the Accel plugs today. I will also get some of the heat resistant covers for my plug boots.
Thanks |
