Default Factory Bucket seat support

I don't know if this exists but I'm looking for a replacement foam/spring seat bottom cushion. My original factory buckets lack any kind of support when going around corners. I would like to redo the factory seat "suspension" for more support and comfort without changing the factory look. Is this available out there in the aftermarket world?
Thanks, Chris

Are you talking about these: http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.mv...KETSEATSPRINGS. They also sell the foam, along with the correct pre-sewn upholstery.

I'm not sure if new original style springs and foam will be any better than I already have? I was hoping for a firm foam or something different.

Take your seat out and look at the springs from the bottom side. I just replaced the lower springs on the driver's seat. Four broken springs, the two at the front and one one each front corner.

Sorry to say, but even when brand new, the factory buckets in ours cars didn't do much to hold a person in place.

The replacement bottom spring assemblies just make it worse, but overspringing the seat and putting your head in the headliner.

Your best bet would be to find a set of aftermarket seats you like (recaro, procar, curillo, etc etc) and have an upholstery shop get factory cover material and create custom looking "original" covers for the aftermaret seats.

I had a set of the Procar Rally seats in a 69 elcamino, and i liked that they looked "period correct" with the covers they came with. THey really really hold you in place too.

just my $.02
