I just bought back my 68 Chevelle that I sold 19 years ago. It now has a big block casting # 3999289 72 to 78 454ci But the suffix code I can,t seem to figure out here is the # T062011YC5F437244

Also this engine is stock is this a good long block to use for a mild build up?

That's one of the best production blocks GM ever produced, it's good for a WILD build-up!

Thanks for the info. Have built alot of small blocks This is my first big block. Was going to start with cam intake and headers then drive it thru the summer that way. In the winter I will go thru and try to make some power.
