Default '06 LS2 Drive by wire and gas pedal

I purchased an LS2/4L60E pull-out from a 2006 GTO. I was promised everything that I needed would be there. So far, it appears I don't have a gas pedal or any of the wiring from that end of the harness. Am I screwed, or is there a way to incorpoate another pedal and wiring that will get me up and running? I hate to spend 2 Large on a whole new harness if there is a way to use what I have. Thanks for any input.

Search LS1tech.com

You should be able to find the pin-outs for your computer and figure out what wires to run for the pedal. 2007 Monte Carlo SS uses a nice pedal that fits well in a-bodies. You can look in my build thread for details. Link in sig. It's less than $50.

You might be able to swat the throttle body out for a cable drive unit. That's what my budy did with his 5.3 he is putting in a 37 ford street rod. Guy swapped him even-up. Of course he is using an aftermarket harness. (Howell)

i think swapping the throttle body requires an intake swap due to a different mounting bolt pattern.
as for the pedal- i think everything GM sells is fly-by-wire these days, and i know that GMPP sells a complete wiring kit for LS2/LS3/LS7 swaps that comes with a pedal.
i'd be calling every junkyard around and telling them that if they get a wrecked truck that you need the pedal and some of the wiring for it.

I spoke with John Spears at Speartech this morning. He is going to be able to fix me up with a reworked harness (using what I have) and add in a pedal and everything else I need. Looks like I am going to escape for a little over 6 bones and some change. I figured I was going to be paying close to that if I had all the pieces I needed. Glad to have a solution to this problem. Thanks for all of the input.
